"We had the best trip possible to and from USPC Championships in Kentucky with your vans and drivers!

Your vans were so comfortable that our horse arrived at both destinations in excellent condition. All ten horses got off the van in Kentucky in great shape, and they all competed successfully over each of the next three days in very hot and challenging circumstances. When they arrived back at Frying Pan Park in Herndon, Virginia yesterday afternoon it was 106 degrees in the parking lot. The horses walked off the van dry. Amazing!

And your drivers were the best! The vans arrived early for each pick up, allowing me the luxury of not having to worry about them at the last minute and arrived at each destination very close to the projected arrival times.

Frank and Todd picked us up in Virginia and loaded the horses easily and efficiently. They kept in touch with us while we were on the road, so we knew well in advance when they would arrive. The kids are always tense and excited when we arrive at champs and it was such a treat to not have to worry about the horses, too. The horses were unloaded and in their stalls within minutes of their arrival.

The return trip with Mike and Linda went the same way; the loading was efficient and very easy and they were on their way a few minutes ahead of schedule. They kept in touch on the trip, and the unloading at Frying Pan was quick and efficient in really brutal heat. The horses were loaded onto their own trailers in minutes and on their way home. Linda even helped my daughter load her recalcitrant mare onto our trailer so that they could get out of the heat much more quickly.

The icing on the cake was when your guys delivered hay and shavings to us at the Kentucky Horse Park... I told them they could stack it all at the end of one of the barns but they insisted on delivering it to each stall. This saved the kids time and energy and allowed them to get on with the demanding job of setting up their stalls and tack rooms. It just could not have gone any better. Your company has great equipment, and more importantly, a great group of people. I can't thank you enough."

"Magic arrived in great shape; it was obvious she had used the space in the box to lie down, so we were very glad we ordered that. Some years ago I almost lost a horse from shipping fever, so I was advised to always use a box for long trips. Megan is thrilled to have her back and to see what great shape she's in. The mare was in Indiana for four years, but since she didn't sell in this lousy economy, we decided to take her back. The only slight disappointment regarding the shipping was that Megan just missed the truck. She didn't quite get there from her job 45 minutes away. But someone was there to meet the truck and Megan arrived just a few minutes later. Your service was excellent. Megan wanted to contact the dispatcher Wednesday morning to find out the progress and the contact went right through. She was told that they were in Denver and would be in Salt Lake by evening. And that's just what happened."

"Selena arrived with much fan fare yesterday. That huge rig made quite a stir. My friend who will keep Selena for me has a therapeutic riding program and lots of people were there to watch how efficient you were and also to grab up the barn kittens who love to jump into trucks and would have been happy to accompany the guys in their travels. The cute little donkeys in the back of the van were as much a hit as Selena. Selena walked off the van and into her stall like she had just traveled a few miles. I had the vet check on Selena today. He thought she looked just great, checked for heat around her legs and dehydration. She passed all tests with flying colors. I can't thank you all enough, really. The DVM in Sheridan, WY called to check on her today too. They really liked your drivers (Vince) and the way they handled Selena. Very impressed with Brook Ledge. Selena has had a lot of people looking out for her. Thanks to you all for your most important part in this."

"We recently had Brook Ledge transport two Poitous from Oregon to Pennsylvania. We had been looking for a transport company and I had at least ten bids. My husband saw one of your trucks and suggested I contact you. From the first contact with Leslie Stevenson I was convinced. We know you move very expensive horses and guess what- nobody laughed when we said Vinnie and Antoinette were donkeys. Leslie made the arrangements with professionalism and humor and was in constant contact, available at all times. Then Brian contacted us with pick-up and delivery times. He worked with my husband on the best route due to bridge construction and best of all when we found out your big rig couldn’t come up our road because of the power lines our donkeys stayed in Oley overnight and arrived the next morning in a smaller rig, brought by Keith Jones. Keith treated these donkeys as if they were Derby winners. The truck was immaculate, his handling so patient I think they would have been happy to stay with him. Your company is exceptional; the people who sent them from Oregon thanked us for letting them travel in such style. THANK YOU for such a great experience."

"I used Brook Ledge to ship both of my horses at separate times, from New England to Southern California this fall. Both times Vince Mast was our driver. Vince took considerable care and consideration with both of my horses. He phoned regularly with updates, which was a huge relief for me being a first time shipper. Emme is my current therapy horse and she made the long journey in October without any signs of stress. Emme walked off the van in excellent condition and obviously well cared for.

My second horse Fred, arrived two weeks ago had a significantly disadvantaged start to his journey. He is a 20 year old Thoroughbred who had been through a rough six weeks prior to shipping. Fred spent a week in Oley, PA at Brook Ledge's hub in Leslie Stevenson's tender loving care. Leslie is an amazing, kind and compassionate horse person. She looked after Fred and did everything possible to prepare him for his further travels while making him comfortable. She hand walked Fred regularly, fed him multiple small meals and made sure he drank plenty of water. Leslie phoned and texted with updates multiple times daily. I am so grateful to Leslie and all of the other people in Oley. They went above and beyond to care for Fred.

When Leslie informed me that Vince would be Fred's driver, I knew Fred would be looked after and given all of the attention he needed. Fred survived the trip and is adjusting to his new retirement home.

"I will be singing your praises and if I ever need to ship anyone again, be sure that I'll call on you. I was telling my husband last night that I spent untold hours over the course of a couple of years looking at hauling companies and I'm jazzed that my research (and instincts) paid off. I truly believe we couldn’t have had a better experience. And I'm a box stall believer at this point - as I said to Dave, I decided that a little more money in transit was worth not having to spend four months putting them back together again both physically and emotionally after spending four days without moving. In addition to the research about respiratory issues, etc., I kept thinking about how crazy it makes me to get stuck in little airplane seats where it's hard to move - even for a few hours and knowing that it's going to end - and then thinking about what it would feel like to be a prey animal tied into such a small space for so long with no knowledge that it was ever going to change. Yikes!

Actually, one of the reasons that I went with Brook Ledge was because of the articles about the research coming out of UC Davis about box stalls and traveling on your website. Because I've never done a haul of this distance, I was really looking for guidance from the pro's about how to make the most responsible decision for my guys, and having that research there was really helpful. I just wanted to let you know that a package arrived from Brook Ledge today - I am even as I type making hot chocolate to break in one of the mugs. And the nicest of all was the note from Dave and Randy. Please tell them a heartfelt thanks from all of us - Stardust and Circe are settling in beautifully.

We are so thoroughly impressed with everyone from Brook Ledge, and so grateful to the loving care that Dave and Randy took of the kids. I have been dreading this move for ages and I am astounded at how well everyone did. I know that the box stalls made a big difference. And I know Dave did, too! I have a picture of Stardust giving him a hug as he was checking out this new place through the door: Stardust doesn't trust easily and it's a huge testament to Dave's horsemanship and kindness that Stardust connected with him so completely. Huge thanks to all of you. I hope that Randy made it home to see his new grand daughter and that they enjoyed their Thanksgiving. I can't remember the last holiday when I got such a great present as watching my horses arrive so happy and healthy!"

Nina arrived a day early (we are still joking that she was teleported...) and there were no issues with her delivery. I did wind up moving to a barn closer to me that is a better facility. "I wanted to thank you and your wonderful staff for looking after my horse Pine Alley in the most professional and caring manner possible. From the minute I first spoke to Leslie Stevenson at the office, she reassured and advised me how to prepare, book and navigate my horse all the way from Central Florida to Northern California. Leslie helped us prepare Pine Alley for the trip, assisted with the paperwork requirements and was a reassurance through out the entire booking. I find it hard to believe that you could accurately, within minutes, say that Pine Alley would be picked up on Tuesday at 9:30 am and be delivered on Friday at 6 am... And then arrive 5 minutes early. Most people can't even get to a horse show in time and yet you can get a horse across an entire country within a 5 minute window.

My horse was happy, healthy and bounced off the trailer after a 4 day trip. He is usually a nervous horse and he arrived dry, with good hydration and a bright eye. Dave and Marilyn who delivered Pine Alley knew him by name and conveyed a real sense of empathy and caring for both him and I. They were very professional in their manner, excellent horse people and again, arrived 5 minutes early for their delivery of my horse.

I am very grateful to your entire staff and can not say enough about how impressed I am by Brook Ledge. I will never ship with anyone but Brook Ledge again! I have a sense of loyalty as a result of my experience with your professional and caring team. Thank you so much.

"My apologies for not writing sooner, I have just been overwhelmed by my move! I am still in the midst of tons of boxes! I want to THANK EVERYONE who participated in the transportation of my three Morgan horses to their new farm! They are all relatively young and have not been transported very much at all; therefore, I was extremely concerned. There wasn't an ounce... not an ounce of sweat on my beautiful babies!!! They walked off your vehicle as calm as could be... as if they had just exited their own barn!
